I am a doctoral candidate in Cognition and Cognitive Neuroscience at the University of Michigan, working with Patricia Reuter-Lorenz. My research interests involve developing strategies for investigating the cognitive and neurological mechanisms underlying memory impairments. Ultimately, I aim to advance our understanding of why memory declines with age and the interventions or strategies that may preserve or enhance memory performance. My current research project (in collaboration with Alexandru Iordan) investigates the relationship between glutamate levels and neurostimulation and its subsequent effect on brain activity in older adults. Additionally, I am comparing these effects (behavioral and neuroimaging) between individuals with ‘normal’ healthy aging and mild cognitive impairment. Before starting my Ph.D., I completed my B.S. in Psychology from the Pennsylvania State University in 2020 and an M.A. in Bioethics and Medical Humanities from Case Western Reserve University in 2021.
